Create a bucket

1. Sign in to the Oracle Cloud Console.
2. Navigate to Object Storage & Archive Storage.
3. Click Create Bucket, choose a compartment and name.
4. Click Create Bucket.

Credentials and permissions

1. In the Oracle Cloud Console, go to your User Settings.
2. Under Customer Secret Keys, click Generate Secret Key.
3. Copy the access key and secret key (S3-compatible).
4. Note your tenancy namespace and region. Enter all of these in BlixtFS.

Project

The OCID of the compartment the buckets live in. Set it with ORACLE_PROJECT, --oracle_project or cloud.oracle.project.

Namespace

The Object Storage namespace of your tenancy, set with ORACLE_NAMESPACE, --oracle_namespace or cloud.oracle.namespace. It is the namespace shown on the bucket’s details page, and it is not the same as the compartment. The region goes alongside it in ORACLE_REGION (--oracle_region, or cloud.oracle.region).
