Amazon S3

Create an S3 bucket, and give BlixtFS credentials that can read and write it.

Create a bucket

  1. Sign in to the AWS S3 Console.
  2. Click Create bucket.
  3. Choose a region and give the bucket a name.
  4. Leave the default settings and click Create bucket.

Credentials and permissions

  1. In the IAM Console, create a user (or role) with s3:* permissions on your bucket.
  2. Go to Security credentials and click Create access key.
  3. Copy the Access key ID and Secret access key.
  4. Enter these in BlixtFS during setup.

Project

The AWS account the buckets are recorded under. Set it with AWS_PROJECT, --aws_project or cloud.aws.project.
